A first-person account by of his couple of years living "outside" society, relying as much as possible on his own ability to thrive, and enjoying and appreciating nature as the main pastime.
He discovers, acknowledges, and points out several "obvious truths" society imposes on humans; truths that make life harder for humans, by "forcing" them to waste valuable resources on unnecessary goods; truths based on vanity and simple pleasures, rather than substance and "meat" of character and knowledge.
